It’s most likely that the Norwegian government will soon allow the cities to start accepting contributions from tourists.
Contributions from tourists will be used to upgrade the infrastructure for tourism, which will benefit both tourists and local residents.
Following, each municipality will have the freedom to decide whether or not to implement this policy.
According to updates, no final decision has been made yet, as the proposal is still under consultation following the submission of bill.
