Priority UK visa can be issued in just a day now

UK visa applicants can now receive their visa in just one day, thanks to the new super priority service offered by the UK Visas and Immigration department. The service is available to those who apply for a visitor visa and verify their identity at a visa application centre in a country where the service is available.

While the priority visa service is still available, there has been a reduction in its availability. With the priority service, applicants can receive a decision within 5 working days of their appointment at the visa application centre.

The super priority service is for those who require their visa urgently and are willing to pay an additional cost. UK Visas and Immigration aims to make a decision on super priority visa applications and notify applicants that their passport is ready for collection by the end of the next working day from when biometric information is provided.

It’s important to note that in some cases, an applicant may wait longer for a decision if their application is not straightforward, and more information is required. For example, if supporting documents need to be verified or if an interview is necessary. Personal circumstances such as criminal convictions may also affect the decision-making process.

If an applicant has applied for a priority or super priority visa, and their application is not straightforward, they may have to wait longer, but their application will still be given priority at every stage of the decision-making process. UK Visas and Immigration will try to process all applications within their standard timescales.

Applicants are advised to check with their visa application centre to see if the super priority service is available in their country. While the service is available in most countries, it may not be available in all. The UK Visas and Immigration Department encourages applicants to apply for their visas well in advance of their intended travel dates to avoid any delays or complications.
