Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)

The Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is an electronic document from a UK university that you need for your UK Student Visa. It has a unique number and shows your course details and fees. The CAS confirms the university has accepted you, and UKVI uses it to check your offer when you apply.

Financial Proof

To prove your funds for a UK student visa, show that you have enough money to cover your first-year tuition and living costs.

English Language Requirement

You must prove your English level through IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, or any test accepted by your university; unless you are exempt. The student does not need to meet the language requirement if they studied in English before and achieved the minimum English score required by the university.

Additional Documents (if required)

ATAS Certificate: If you study certain science or research subjects, you may need an ATAS clearance certificate.

UK Student Visa Process for UAE Residents

Step 1: Gather Required Documents – Collect all required documents. Scan clear copies of your passport, CAS, financial proof, English test results (if required), academic certificates, and other documents such as ATAS, TB test certificate, parental consent, or sponsor letter.

Step 2: Complete the Online Application – Create a UKVI account and fill in the application form carefully. Pay the visa fee and the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS). Submit your application through the UKVI portal.

Step 3: Book the Biometrics Appointment – Choose a VFS centre in Dubai and book your biometrics appointment by selecting the date and time that suits you.

Step 4: Upload Supporting Documents – Upload all required documents based on the checklist. Save and print your appointment confirmation and document checklist for reference.

Step 5: Attend the Biometrics Appointment – Visit the VFS centre on your appointment date. Provide your fingerprints and photograph.

Step 6: Get Your UKVI Account & eVisa – Create your UKVI account to access your eVisa. After approval, log in to your account to view and manage your digital UK student visa.

UK Visa Fees & Processing Time

The UK Student Visa costs £524 if you apply from outside the UK. You must also pay the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), which costs £776 per year of your course. Normally, the visa process takes about 3 weeks. If you need a faster decision, you can choose a priority service. The Priority Visa costs £500, and you will usually get a decision within 5 working days. The Super Priority Visa costs £1,000 and gives a decision by the next working day. For short-term students studying the English language for more than 6 months but not more than 11 months, the visa fee is GBP 222.
